1/ Diamond Cut

This is the most important element of a diamond because even if it has the perfect color and purity, a bad cut will lose its brilliance. The standard cutter standards are Excellent, Very Good, Good, Medium, Fair or Poor, in which Excellent and Very Good are the two highest standards with most of the light shining on the diamond reflecting on them. ta

2/ Diamond Color

For pure white diamonds, colors can range from colorless to yellow and the white diamonds are more valuable. In the white diamond grades of the GIA, white diamonds start with letters D, E, F … for the colorless type and rank down to Z.

There is a trick that tells you that the best way to see the true color of a diamond is to look at it facing a white plane. In addition, diamonds also have some natural colors such as red, pink, yellow, orange, brown, blue, green and some other colors. The colored diamonds are valuable because of the lightness of the color and depend largely on the rare color.

3/ Diamond Clarity

Diamonds often have many minor flaws when making, or small stains, bubbles, scratches or other minerals inside the diamond. The less the error, the more valuable and beautiful.

The degree of diamond grading is:

– F: Perfect – There are no mistakes inside and out.

– IF: Perfect inside – No internal error, only minor errors outside.

– VVS1-VVS2: Very negligible. – Small errors are difficult to detect when enlarged 10 times, including by relatively good classification.

– VS1-VS2: Very small – Small errors will be difficult to see with the naked eye and also difficult to detect when zooming 10 times.

– Sl1-Sl2: Not significant – Difficult to see with the naked eye, but easy to detect if zoomed 10 times.

– I1-I3: The naked eye can also see flaws easily and they affect the brightness of the stone.

The stones from VVS2 to F are very rare so their prices are so expensive. Many couples will choose between Sl1 and VS1 but will never notice the difference between them.

4/ Diamond Carat (weight)

Carat is a unit used to measure the mass of gems in general. A weight of carat weighs 0.2 grams. However, the most important thing to remember is that carat is not a factor in determining the value of a diamond.
